Our Story

Where Korvynex Came From

Korvynex started in 2016 in Banff, Alberta — not with a grand business plan, but with a straightforward frustration. Our founder, James Okafor, had spent several years working for larger cleaning franchises and kept running into the same issues: rushed schedules, inconsistent teams, and clients who felt like numbers in a system.

He wanted to try something different. A smaller operation, with a consistent team, where every client could expect the same standard of work on every visit. He started with a handful of local clients, no marketing budget, and a van full of supplies.

Several years later, Korvynex serves residential and commercial clients across Alberta and British Columbia. The company has grown, but the approach has stayed the same: show up on time, do the job thoroughly, communicate clearly, and treat every property with care.

We've moved steadily toward biodegradable, low-impact products over the years. It's not a marketing line — it's a practical decision we believe makes sense for people and for the environment.

Our History

How We've Grown

2016

Founded in Banff

Korvynex launched with a single van and a focus on residential cleaning in the Banff area. The early clients were largely word-of-mouth referrals from neighbours and local businesses.

2018

Commercial Services Added

Several local businesses approached us for regular office and retail cleaning. We expanded the team and developed a structured commercial cleaning programme.

2020

Eco-Friendly Product Switch

We transitioned the majority of our product line to biodegradable, plant-based formulas — an investment in client health and environmental responsibility.

2022

Expanded to BC

Growing demand led us to extend service coverage to parts of British Columbia, while maintaining the same team-based, quality-first approach.

2024

1,000+ Cleanings Milestone

Passed the milestone of 1,000 completed cleanings with an overall satisfaction rate above 95%. We take this as an indication that the approach is working — but never an excuse to get complacent.

Community

Connected to Where We Work

Banff and the surrounding area has a strong sense of community, and we're conscious of being a part of it rather than just operating within it. We hire locally where possible, support local suppliers for our materials, and contribute to community clean-up initiatives each year.

We also make it a point to work with clients who care about reducing their environmental impact — whether that means selecting our eco-friendly service tier or simply asking us to avoid fragrances and aerosols in their homes.

We're not a large corporation, and we don't pretend to be. We're a local business that takes pride in its work and its relationships with clients.
